E-Stop Schematic Schematic of Fault stop for Gecko 320

When any Gecko faults its FET goes to OFF and the Opto isolator (4N25) stops conducting. The transistor (PN2222A) cuts off the relay which opens its contacts.
Not shown: The relay's contacts are in series with other N.C. stop switches which notify the software to stop everything when the circuit opens. When the switches are all closed the circuit goes to ground. This is a standard parallel port limit switch circuit with a 4.7k to 10k ohm pull up resistor connected to the parallel port pin; active high software trigger.

Note: This circuit works with my old (2003) Gecko 320s, but it is causing spurious E-Stops with my new (2010) 320s. At this writing I have not determined the reasons.
