Section 1.9 Materials.

The total 5/16-18 nut count reads 106. This should be 118.

The detailed materials list for the 25x25 machine states 12 5/16-18 nuts for both the X and Y rail supports.
This should be 18 nuts for the X and Y rails.


This increases the total 5/16-18 nut count by 12 pieces, from 106 to 118.

Black iron gas pipe is listed as the material for the rails. This can be replaced with galvanized plumbing pipe or rigid electrical conduit. All of these products have served well. Choose the product with the smoothest surface.

The belt may wander on the idler. This is usually resolved by slightly bending the idler's axle. A slight offset can make a large difference.
If needed, a flange or two can be added to the idler as shown on the Drive Systems page.
